Errors of the Maxfone V7 Feature Phone

This is a typical example of what you see is not what you'll always get scenario.

Maxfone is a Chinese mobile phone brand which started operations in 2010 with the headquarter situated in Shenzhen, Guangdong. The mobile brand is a product of S.H.X mobile phone trading LLC.

Priding itself as one of the most prospective Chinese smartphone producers, They serve the following markets Africa, Asia, and other foreign markets.

However, Kustomers editor Dré Parker came across one of Maxfone's big error in their feature phone and its a thing of wonder why no one seem to be talking about this.

Also, why wasn't this product recalled, after all, it should have been detected in the factory during the assembling stage.

Below, I have taken pictures of the Maxfone V7 Feature phone which has a keypad error.
See for yourself - Also, tell me, how long did it take you to detect the error on the keypad?
The above picture is culled from the one put up on the Maxfone's official website - And below is the one I took the photograph when I noticed the error.
Look closely, can you spot it? Imagine a mobile phone that has a dual numerical figure of the same value on it - Confusing isn't it?
So I was at a friend's house and I wanted to quickly use his phone to dial a phone number, although I did not notice it immediately, but my attention was drawn when I wanted to dial "1" on the phone and I noticed it had "4" written on it rather than the numerical figure 1.

First I began to ask questions like, how was this phone approved by quality control units of the countries this phone was shipped to.
While having a conversation with the owner of the mobile phone, he said that when he got the phone and noticed the error, he quickly requested for another one at the spot, but to his greatest surprise, the other one he was presented with also had the same issue.

The question is, was this a deliberate thing or is it an error that Maxfone is unwilling to bear the cost by recalling these phones? What would it cost Maxfone if they made a publication on their website or on public domains requesting that anyone who had this devices should kindly return it and request for a replacement?

My other concern is, how could this vivid error slip past the quality control office of the manufacturer and that of the countries this type of phone was shipped to?
